Marketing Manager

The Marketing Manager is responsible for: 

  • Developing responses to RFQ's/RFP's, marketing BLGY's capabilities
  • Identifying and Pursuing Business Development opportunities
  • Helping the Principals maintain and enhance their position in the industry through advertising, community and public outreach, speaking engagements, and strategic alliances with others in the field 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify potential project leads, including monitoring websites for project solicitations
  • Review elements of an RFQ and assist in the GO/NO‐GO process
  • Attend pre‐proposal meetings for RFQs and RFPs
  • Write and prepare qualification packages and proposals in response to RFQ submittals
  • Work with technical staff to develop proposal sections and scopes of work
  • Assist with business development/marketing activities related to local events and conferences
  • Attend local events, conferences to market the firm
  • Create and update marketing materials such as project pages, resumes and awards list
  • Manage collateral materials development, advertisement and sponsorships, special events, direct mail programs and market research activities
  • Assist in coordinating award submissions including layout graphics for boards
  • Assist principals in community outreach and appearances at community events
  • Administrative maintenance of databases for clients and leads
  • Assist in keeping up with post‐occupancy client recommendation letters
  • Produce a monthly electronic newsletter
  • Update social media information
  • Update website information
  • Maintain database for project photography, initiating new photography when new projects are completed
  • Maintain the firm's HUB and MBE Certifications with the State of Texas and City of Austin 


  • Bachelor's degree required. Specialization in marketing, visual communication or public relations, preferred but not required
  • 5 plus years of professional experience in a related field such as marketing, communications or public relations
  • Self‐directed and able to complete projects with limited supervision, collaborating as necessary
  • Creative, flexible, organized, detail‐oriented and able to multi‐task effectively
  • Talent for graphic design, visual communication, presentation graphics
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to manage/communicate with colleagues and management in a professional manner
  • Excellent time management, ability to manage multiple projects at a time and meet deadlines in a timely manner
  • Proven ability to meet multitude demands of a fast‐paced industry and office environment.
  • Provide competent writing and editing support for marketing communications
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Acrobat, PhotoShop, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint
