On May 23, we held a Mix & Learn at downtown Austin’s Russian House, where attendees networked as they learned about making infused vodka as well as vodka-drinking etiquette and traditions. (For example, you never drink without first making a toast!) We sampled some of the restaurant's house-infused vodkas, such as BBQ, lavender, and jalapeño-carrot, all of which are made from ancient Russian recipes. Alongside the tasting were a variety of small bites, also known as “zakuski,” which are a fundamental part of any Russian vodka-drinking activity. (It keeps the vodka from burning up your insides, after all.)
Thanks to all who joined in on this fun event, to Cosential for sponsoring the event, and to The Russian House for being such great hosts! NaZdorovye!
